Several months of excitement, anticipation and hard work last week came to fruition in the form of a superb new sports psychology book, Locker Room Power. Written by international tennis coach David Sammel, this in-depth book provides insights, practical ideas and techniques to athletes and coaches on how they can unlock the true potential of a sportsperson, enhance their performance and achieve their professional goals.
With a great foreword by Judy Murray, this book has gone on international release this week, on sale as paperback through the website and as e-book on Amazon for the Kindle.
David approached Westbrook late last year with the brief to publish, market and distribute the book to as wide a sporting audience as possible. We were able to draw on our superb in-house resources to put together a comprehensive marketing plan involving various traditional and social media channels.
Production of the book had two phases, part one being in the final edit and proofing of the content but just as important, part two the creation of the high impact cover. Involving the best part of a days shoot in a somewhat chilly locker room, we were able to create some really atmospheric shots that really captured the ‘Locker Room Power’ in the model, herself a tennis athlete. Brought together these two parts have completed the package to create a truly powerful look and feel to the book.
Final part of the brief was to get the message onto the web, and to deliver this a smart and striking website was designed and coded to complete and tell the story of how Locker Room Power came to be.
